Welcome to Blackjack Gordon Setters

We are family-run and located in Cannon Falls, MN.

We are lifetime pheasant hunters, and only in the past few years have we started competing in hunt tests, conformation, and walking and horseback field trials. The 2023 /2024 season was very good for us.

Lucky

Our Lucky won the 2023 GSCA National Horseback Gun Dog Championship, and the 2024 NBHA Midwest Regional Runner Up Championship.

Dee Dee

Our Dee Dee won her Field Championship, Amateur Field Championship and earned the title of Dual Champion (for dogs that have won titles in both the show ring and the field). Those placements added up and she was named both the 2023 Dual Purpose Dog of the Year AND Gun Dog of the year. This is a rare feat because a Field Bred Dog typically wins the Gun Dog award.

Duke​

Duke won several placements in the field and was named the 2023 Derby Dog of the Year (for dogs under the age of two). He has also won his show title, so he has the potential to become a DC.

Skye

Skye won his first broke dog event on November 2, 2024, at the Michegamme English Setter Club FT.

 

Our breeding program is small. The majority of our puppy owners are people who enjoy hunting, but want a dog as a pet, too. Our dogs are great with kids!
