Lucky is his call name, but really I'm the lucky one. He trains with Trena Cardwell, a nationally known pro, and it's just a matter of time before he wins his championship.

Eureka, KS, Nov. 2018: Lucky won the Open Walking Gun Dog Championship at the GSCA National Field Trials. In 2020, he took second in the National Field Championship.

Bandera, TX, Feb. 2019: Lucky is off to a great start winning 2nd in Open Gun Dog at the GSCA 'Setter Only' Field Trial. Cindy Findley, one of the judges, shared her notes with me - "stunning point."  Hankinson, N.D., May 2019: Lucky took second in a 20 dog entry at the North Dakota Pointing Dog Club Field Trial.  Lucky took a third in OLGD in Texas March 2020 before the trialing season shut down due to Covid-19 concerns. Nov. 2020 Lucky placed 2nd in the National Championship (his full brother Gus took first.) Spring 2021 I handled Lucky to a 2nd in an Open Walking Gun Dog stake (15 entries) and two fourths in Amateur Gun Dog stakes  (13 and 16 entries).
